How to Make Mini Power Generator Homegrown - With Step Motor.

If there's one thing that bothers me a lot is to be without electricity.
It's something that is very much needed and only we realize its importance when we ran it.
It is terrible to be without TV, listen to music or access the internet, it seems that when
we are in the dark these things are even more necessary.
So I was always trying to find a way to store energy, is
in automotive batteries, UPS batteries (deep cycle batteries) or on rechargeable batteries - those of tactical flashlights.
You can do this using a conventional charger connected to mains.
But I still had two major problems:
         - And if the power outage is prolonged for several days?
         - And when I go camping - For a lot like camping, but I think not
combines much be in the woods in contact with nature "Far from pollution" and
at the same time take a generator with gasoline to camp.
The solution would be to build a small generator, but I could charge my batteries. I think we've all seen dozens of videos that teach us to light up an LED with a little engine toy or printer, which does not provide energy in an amount that would be useful for our needs. On the other hand, we also have robust and laborious wind generators made with neodymium magnets.
An intermediate solution that met my needs was the use of stepper motors. For them it is possible, at low revs, reaching up voltage values and useful currents to charge 12V batteries (car batteries). The common electric motors require much higher speeds.

So if you plan to build one of these generators without much work, your first mission is to look for a stepper motor of major proportions.
These engines can deliver currents of 1A, 6A, or more, depending only on the engine size you have, with relatively low speeds.

Agora é preciso identificar as bobinas no interior do motor, de onde partirão os fios levando a corrente alternada para a ponte de diodos.

The easiest link engine is one that has only 4 wires, pink-orange and yellow-blue because there are two coils therein. We then connect the yellow to orange to obtain a single coil. This will make the desired voltage is reached with a lower rotation.

You can choose to build your own diode bridge or use a ready as pictured.

After this link your current is rectified, we must now filter it. This will be done with a capacitor 50000 microfarads to 25V

All assembled, lacking only that the generator of the rotating shaft (400 to 600 rpm).

Detail of the diode bridge connected to the capacitor.

Well, now I need to get your generator mechanical energy from any source, in order to convert it into electrical energy.
You can install it on the shaft of a wind generator, the wheels of a bicycle or, if you are lucky to live in a site or farm, where there is a stream or a small waterfall, you can turn it on the axis of a wheel d 'Water.

Mounted the circuit, you can now load a 12V battery and connect one or more outlets of cigarette lighters and connect accessories, and LED lamps to 12V.

Connectors to connect the battery to plug in accessories:

Accessories that will provide you with lighting, load on your tablet mobile phones etc.

Always use LED lamps

****** An important tip: If you have videos recorded on a flash drive you can watch them
a Digital Picture Frame (usually it has speakers, it plays videos).

****** I have here on the blog a post where I show that you can even connect your                     ADSL modem in 12V battery and enjoy your wi-fi signal when fall power.

******* In another post you can see how reusing the emergency lighting LEDs that no                     longer work, so you can connect it to your battery.

                                                                   Thank you all
